Pickleball
Quick to learn. Hard to stop. Four courts next to the padel, and the easiest way to get a group of complete beginners playing properly within ten minutes.
Five minutes
of rules.
A smaller court, a solid paddle, a plastic ball and a slower bounce. Nobody is out of their depth, which is exactly why it works for mixed groups, families and offices where half the room has never played anything.
- 01Singles or doubles. Doubles is the sociable version.
- 02Underarm serve, and a non-volley zone at the net.
- 03Paddles and balls at the desk. Trainers only.
- 04Genuinely competitive on day one.
The easier
first yes.
If padel looks too fast, and to a lot of people it does, this is where to start.
